Ben David – feature film script. Israel. 1997
Synopsis:

Shimi is an orphan, in his 20’s, from a small town in the south, who after killing a deli-owner who abuses his female employee, embarks on a cross-country ‘crusade’ to salvage the land from the evil and filth that has spread out everywhere, by saving innocent souls and killing their oppressors. At some point he is joined by Miri – a runaway adolescent whom he rescues, and the two continue their violent journey heading north, performing acts of mercy and punishment.

As the police gradually closes in on them, one sympathetic police social worker refuses to see them as dangerous murderers and tries to help them before it’s too late. The journey reaches it’s climatic, biblical end on a northern mountain top, where Shimi performs his last act of mercy.
